Restorative Material
Advances in composite resin technology (tooth-coloured resin fillings) have meant they have become more effective as a material for filling small to moderate-sized cavities. Very heavily restored teeth are still more effectively retained if they are crowned. Amalgam (metallic filling material) is very rarely used due to its poor cosmetics.
Options for Anxious Patients
The team at BB Dental understand visiting the dentist is not an activity most people enjoy. We take a number of steps to relieve any anxiety you may be feeling during an appointment, from explaining the treatments to offering pain-relief and sedation. Our practice is a member of the Australian Society for Dental Anaesthesiology.
For complex procedures, Relative Analgesia is available from BB Dental. This administers Nitrous Oxide (Happy Gas) in a safe concentration to help relieve pain and discomfort during treatment.
